Dollar Per Month showcases and raises funds for three charities a month. Charities are selected based on a careful evaluation process ensuring that the charities are fair, reputable, legitimate, making a positive impact, and that a vast majority of the donations go directly to the cause.We have had a amazing time putting this together and continue to be overwhelmed by the support we have received from our members! The following is a list of the causes hosted by Dollar Per Month, this list proves what we believed when creating the DPM site, if we all contribute a little collectively we can make make a difference.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) shares the vision of our founder and creator, Alexandra “Alex” Scott—a cure for all children with cancer. When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front-yard lemonade stand. Her plan: to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure. Her first “Alex’s Lemonade Stand”, held with the help of her older brother Patrick, raised an astonishing $2,000 in one day. While bravely fighting her own cancer, Alex continued to set up lemonade stands every year.

All kids – no matter where they live, how much money their parents make, or what their skin color is – deserve access to a great education. But in our country today, a significant achievement gap exists between low-income children and their wealthier peers. It’s not easy to close this gap, but hundreds of proof points show that it’s possible. It takes committed leaders in our classrooms today who will continue to fight for students tomorrow. Teach For America’s mission is to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by developing such leaders.

WILD FOUNDATION
As the hub of the global wilderness conservation movement, WILD is the only international organization dedicated entirely to protecting wilderness and wild-nature around the world. Our vision is to protect at least half of the planet, land and water, in an interconnected way because wild-areas provide essential social, spiritual, biological and economic benefits – Nature Needs Half™. We envision is a planet with ample clean water, fresh air and natural resources to support all life. We believe that intact wilderness areas are an essential core element of a healthy modern human society.
